PERFORMANCE
The Aqua One 105c Carbon Cartridge consists of a fine polymer ‘wool’ layer which is then bonded onto a polymer dispersal tray containing activated carbon. The polymer wool layer traps solid waste, while the activated carbon layer adsorbs dissolved waste from the aquarium water leaving it clear, clean and de odourised. The structure of the tray is such that the water flow is evenly dispersed as it leaves the carbon cartridge ready for the next stage of the filtration process.
USEFUL LIFE
The Aqua One 105c Carbon Cartridge lasts around four to six weeks in normal use. After this is it should be discarded and replaced. The carbon layer is an essential part of the filtration process and cannot be regenerated by rinsing under the tap.
